Eight startups of MTS StartUp Hub 5G Center presented their development solutions in new generation networks

MTS StartUp Hub presented projects of the first startups enrolment at the 5G Center. Startups during incubation tested technological assumptions and refined their solutions for the new generation networks. The best projects presented at Demo Day on July 16, 2020, got grants from MTS for the amount up to RUB 4 million.

5G Center residents attended workshops on technologies of the leading global producers of 5G solutions, edge computing, VR/AR, IOT, they consulted with leading MTS experts. A site for development and testing with 5G network, #CloudMTS cloud services, subscriber equipment and 5G modules are available in the Center’s territory.

Tsuru is a drone control system using 5G technology. The new generation network provided for development of both existing and new market solution using drones – from cadastral works, construction and agriculture to security and monitoring;

VoltBro is a robotic telepresence system based on domestic virtual reality helmet, moving platform and 5G data transfer. The new generation networks have several times increased communication reliability, which is necessary in case incidents;

BID Technologies is a system of automatic quality control of industrial (serial) production using artificial intelligence technology. Integration of industrial robots with 5G networks will allow significantly cutting costs of production robotization due to transfer of computing capacities to a cloud. Robots’ performance was raised by six times;

Visorcam is a first-person (athlete, referee or racing car POV) sports broadcast service using cameras built into the sports equipment. Application of 5G technologies allowed increasing solution of the broadcasted image and the number of cameras on players taking part in competitions;

Ariellium is a cloud platform for development, generation and delivery of AR content reducing time of AR solutions implementation in customer business. Using the capabilities of 5G networks, the augmented reality image immediately synchronizes with smartphone camera. During incubation at the 5G Center, the startup managed to ensure immediate upload of augmented reality without the need to connect to WiFi. The technology has an enormous potential for demand in several market segments at once: industry, retail, jewelry, museums, and special events;

LoudPlay is a game and application streaming platform from cloud to any device. At the 5G Center, the startup tested wireless communication technologies for minimizing delays in online games and proved the assumption that the new generation networks are the most sustainable technology for cloud gaming;

Null Real is a platform for finding accurate user indoor location within augmented reality. Users visiting big shopping centers, in airports, at parking lots can easily find an object they are interested in. 5G networks allows immediately uploading a huge amount of content in augmented reality;

Doubleme (UK) is a holographic communication system operating with volumetric video. Using new generation networks, the startup managed to prove that 5G is the only wireless technology that ensures transfer of heavy content of volumetric video with good image quality.

“Solutions by the teams that reached Demo day got new user properties due to technological advantages provided by new generation networks. During the incubation program, startups created 5G product usage scenarios in various market segments, startup solutions were refined up to the stage when they can be already piloted and applied in business. This offers us exciting possibilities for further development of cooperation in creation of new cases in industry, logistics, and many other sectors. MTS is eager to support 5G Center residents for scaling, including marketing channels, Big Data, cloud services, infrastructure capacities and other corporate resources. We’re also ready to engage partners for launch of pilots on 5G with the Center’s resident startups,” noted Dmitry Kurin, Director of MTS StartUp Hub Innovation and Investment Center.
