MTS StartUp Hub will test 12 startups from six countries in 5G Center on new generation networks at VDNKh. The selected projects include unmanned flying vehicles traffic management, solution for automated sport streaming content creation, and drone production. MTS is at the ready to grant up to six million rubles to the Center residents.
MTS StartUp Hub Center’s innovation and investment analysts chose 12 companies among more than 150 that filed applications for participation in the 5G Center. The selected startups will refine their solutions and products for application in new generation networks. The following candidates became the Center residents:
Augmented city (Russia) – a platform for АR sites creation for a smart city,
Сinfo (Spain) – is a solution for automated sport streaming content creation using artificial intelligence,
Condense Reality (UK) – a system for creation of volumetric video broadcasting to smart devices (AR glasses, smartphones),
Copterexpress (Russia) – production of autonomous drones,
Crowdfilming (Russia) – a mass service for crowd video recording from the center of interesting places and events,
Discoperi (Ukraine) – a system for improving efficiency and safety of road traffic using artificial intelligence and IoT,
Fixar (Russia) – a developer of autonomous drones for commercial use,
Hatch Entertainment (Finland) – a platform for cloud gaming for mobile users with a functionality to organize eSports tournaments,
Lookport (Russia) – a solution for online broadcasting from any events in 360о and 4K format,
QuarkXR (Bulgaria) – a platform for cloud rendering of any XR content with streaming to any user devices,
Simlabs (Russia) – a prototype of a cloud system for simulation and unmanned traffic management,
Speakus (Russia) – a cloud platform for provision of simultaneous translation.
MTS will provide the residents with mentor and technical support, give a testing site, provide necessary equipment and components to refine the products in operation with 5G networks, as well as ensure access to #CloudMTS infrastructure. Business customers of startups’ solutions may include both MTS entities and third-party companies. 5G Center partners include Nokia, Sony, Samsung, Qualcomm, and Telit. Furthermore, in February and March this year, Ingria Business Incubator and ITMO University became the project partners.
“Solutions of most startups of the 5G Center’s second enrolment have synergies with key MTS business areas. In case of successful testing, MTS can develop cooperation with its residents. For instance, a certain company unit may launch a pilot with the startup that will subsequently go to scaling. MTS may become a strategic partner for someone of the Center’s residents or invest in it through its corporate venture fund. It is also conceivable that some of 5G Center participants will be acquired. We believe that the potential of 5G-based products will allow breaking new ground and entering new markets,” said Dmitry Kurin, Director of MTS StartUp Hub Innovation and Investment Center.
